Open Call – Works for Radio #4
For this fourth edition of Works for Radio, The Lake is excited to invite you to submit a piece of sound or radio, reflecting on the question:
how can art for radio sound?
We are looking for artists to respond to this question on their own terms, and present it through their art, in the form of sound – whether that be composed soundscapes, radio montage, field recordings, readings, audio documentary, sound collage, musics, or something we do not yet have a name for.
The call is open to artists with all levels of experience, of all ages and nationalities across the globe, of all genders and non-genders.
The Lake is a non-profit art initiative in the shape of an online radio station. The Lake Radio is a constant stream of music, sounds and radio art from all times, all countries, and in all languages – for curious listeners to be challenged and inspired.
The submitted works will go into the everflowing random stream of sounds on www.thelakeradio.com – we encourage you to listen before you submit.
Four of the submitted works will each be awarded with a prize fee of 500 € – as well as being featured in a radio programme, early April 2020.
